CIM Technologies, Inc. produces and donates
3D-printed face mask extenders to local frontline workers

(Updated as of June 28, 2020) CIM Technologies, Inc., one of the country’s leading technology providers, produced hundreds of reusable face mask extenders through its 3D printing services and resources to continuously support the frontline healthcare workers in Makati Medical Center, Urology Center of the Philippines, Inc., Taytay Doctors Multispecialty Hospital, and Pagamutan ng Dasmarinas, Burol II, Dasmarinas City, Cavite.

CIM Technologies, Inc.’s design team prototyped to 3D print an extender that allows face masks to be snapped onto it to prevent it from loosening up. These 3D-printed extenders are making masks a little more comfortable for frontline responders to relieve ear pain while wearing mask especially for those who are working long shifts.

Aside from the healthcare sector, CIM Technologies, Inc. also donated 50 pieces of the 3D-printed face mask extenders to the frontline workers in Metrobank Rada Rodriguez branch in Makati City.

The face mask extender production and donations are part of CIM Technologies’ effort to leverage company and employee resources to aid the Philippines’ COVID-19 recovery and relief efforts. Total in all, around 950 face mask extenders were donated already by CIM Technologies, Inc., and still set to produce more.

Moreover, with the announced shortage of assisted ventilation equipment in hospital and ICUs, CIM Technologies is also taking part in developing and producing 3D printed parts that would enable the use of a single assisted ventilation machine by two or more patients (can reach up to three or even four patients) to deliver the same ventilatory requirements.

CIM Technologies, Inc. is one of the country’s pioneers in providing cutting-edge Technology Solutions, delivering software and hardware solutions, training, and technical support and services to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) and Manufacturing industries in the local and global market.
